Web Access – The Navigator and Web Widget

The Navigator
The Navigator is a brandable web page - a window on your site with a unique URL where you can upload, download and manage files on your site. You will find the address for your Navigator on the Control Panel, click on the Site Properties tab. Send this link to your customers or colleagues to provide access to your site.

The Popup Widget
The Popup is a compact version of the Navigator - the same functionality but without the branding. You can insert a few lines of code in your web page to link to the popup. Go to the Site Properties tab on the control panel to get the code for your Popup.

The Embedded Widget
You can embed file transfer in your web page. Get a snippet of HTML from the Site Properties tab on the control panel and insert wherever you want in any web page. Embedded file transfer looks like this example:

Logging in to the Navigator and Web Widget

The three Web interfaces to your FTP-Stream storage (the Navigator, the popup client and the Widget) all work in the same way.

Logins
Login using any of the customer logins you created on the control panel, or using the special login admin. Customer logins are jailed to their home folder and will only see files and folders in their own folder tree, However admin can see into all folders on the site.

Public Login
If you have set one of your logins to be the public login, (Details), when you, or your customers, access your site you will not need to login and will see the listing of the files in the home area of the user you set to Public. You can can download the files listed and can upload. But note that files uploaded may not be immediately visible see Sharing Mode.

When you have a Public login set, you or your customers can still login to their own file areas – click the login link top right.
