With the growing number of businesses in the area, Havering Borough Council needed a secure depository for the two councils to be able to transfer files with the aim of maintaining the National Non-Domestic Rates database (NNDR) run by Havering BC on behalf of Barking and Dagenham BC.
Their Challenge
A review of their existing service offering identified the following areas of concern:
- The need to ensure the secure storage and transfer of cash receipts and reports.
- Periodic snapshots of the NNDR database needed to be accessible for both borough councils.
- A neutral space was needed in the cloud so that allowed councils to access files without compromising security.
